Welcome to Mount Kelly Swimming Pool

poolWe pride ourselves as being one of the leading Development Training Centres in the South West and our aim is to provide “excellence in swimming and education”.  We have produced several elite international swimmers through the Swim Squad Programme, including over eighty Great Britain Senior International swimmers and medallists in the Olympic Games and European Championships. Mount Kelly Swimming Pool holds various sessions during the day and evening for activities such as Children’s Lessons,  Adult Lessons, Adult Training, Lunchtime Lanes and Early Bird Sessions.  All of these sessions are open to the public. During the school holidays we run children's activities and family fun sessions.   Our popular Swim Schools led by Robin Brew, run twice a year during Easter and Summer and offer residential and non-residential places for children aged 8 to 16 years old. We are keen to help Schools with their swimming programme and offer a reduced rate for School Hire, to check availability please call Sheila on 01822 813170 or email swim@mountkelly.com History Kelly College Swimming Pool was built in 1888 as an 18yd open-air pool, it was unheated and fed from the local leat. In 1976 it was extended to 25m x 10m and had a corrugated iron roof and brick walls built around it. Since then many changes have taken place with the addition of a plant room providing heat. The Future Mount Kelly College is receiving an Olympic Legacy Swimming Pool following the 2012 games in London. We have been successful at the first bid stage and are now working to meet the final conditions set by the Department for Culture Media and Sport.  To keep up to date with the project keep an eye on our project website.
